FlashLock

Terms of use

Effective October 13, 2026

By downloading or using FlashLock you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Apple's Standard EULA

Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to your use of FlashLock. If these terms conflict with it, Apple's EULA controls for the license to use the app.

Subscriptions

A self-control tool, not a guarantee

FlashLock helps you limit your own app use. It relies on Apple's Screen Time, and limits can be bypassed through iOS settings, by removing Screen Time access, or by other means. We do not guarantee that apps will always be blocked.

Your content

The decks and cards you create are yours. We do not claim any rights to them and, because they stay on your device, we do not receive them.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app, reverse engineer it except as the law allows, interfere with its operation, or use it to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

FlashLock is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, FlashLock and its developer are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost study time, or for any loss arising from limits that did not block an app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws that apply where the developer is based, without regard to conflict of law rules, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use FlashLock after a change means you accept it.
